In Ulaanbaatar, funeral procedures and standards are implemented at a rate of 66.3 percent, which is "insufficient"

G. Batzorig, General Manager of Ulaanbaatar City and Head of the Mayor's Office, has worked at the "Sambalkhundev" Funeral Center.  The Sambalkhundev Cemetery will be cleared in phases until 2028 and turned into a park.

As of today, 11 hectares of land has been cleared. In addition, 1,130 hectares of land are used for burial purposes in 32 areas throughout the capital city. 

Ten of these are licensed, seven are unlicensed, and six are closed cemeteries, with cemeteries located in nine different places in Tuv aimag. There are numerous cemeteries in Ulaanbaatar and its surroundings.
As a result, G. Batzorig, General Manager of Ulaanbaatar City, presented information about the organization and execution of funeral activities, as well as the transport of buried remains, which were overseen and reviewed by the Governor of the capital city. 

When examining funeral homes based on 89 factors, the execution of norms and standards by 15 organizations was rated 66.3 percent, or "insufficient." In the capital city, cremation was estimated at 87.4 percent, underground burial at 42.9%, and transportation at 68.7%.

According to the inquiry, there were numerous infractions where funeral service providers essentially performed services without a license by failing to execute service contracts with state organizations. Furthermore, funeral service providers did not enter into contracts with the deceased's representative, or it was not obvious how rights and obligations related to one another.
The examination uncovered typical infractions, such as the absence of a centralized database for funeral services and the people' ignorance of the deceased's location, the service provider, and other pertinent details.

The inspection revealed the aforementioned infractions, and four businesses that were involved in underground burial operations but lacked the necessary qualifications to offer services received "notices" and "recommendations" along with a deadline to address the infractions.
